We all forget that our kids have a frame of reference that is different from ours. Sometimes it is for the good, and sometimes it is for the bad. But it is usually different. What shocks us may seem mundane to them. Then what seems mundane to us may well shock them. It all changes. Rather than getting all worked up over it, we should just learn to communicate.
Some people get all upset over how much society has degraded and fallen into a horrible state. I have a bit of trouble with this. Society is always changing in a way that somebody doesn’t like. There are some changes going on now that I don’t like and some I do. Thinking back, it has always been that way. I suspect it will always be that way.

Society is either evolving or crumbling, according to generational perspective. I guess it’s based on how fond our memories are of the “good ol’ days.”
