A friend has been harmed and I must defend them!
A horrible person has done something really obsecene and evil to someone I care about and I want to take action!
I want to call this horrible person a bunch of very foul names!
I want to defile this horrible person’s name and actions all over the Web and let everyone of you know just how much of a scum this person is.
I WANT A FULL-SCALE FLAME WAR!

I’m sure your friend would tell you how much they appreciate your willingness to stand up and protect them, and the passion that you feel over the wrong that they have suffered.
But even more than that, I’m sure your friend is deeply touched by your decision to take Still Here Too’s sage advice and not express your anger even more directly.
It has been my experience that people who knowingly hurt others hurt themselves more. They lose friends, and all of the richness that comes with them. It is also a difficult but important lesson for your friend to select better associations in the future.
