It has been a year or two since I have heard the song “Sound of Silver” by LCD Soundsystem. I was reminded of it when I was listening to the show “Fresh Air” on NPR. Terry Gross was interviewing James Murphy the frontman for LCD Soundsystem and a short piece of “Sound of Silver” was played. It is a song with a great message:
Sound of silver talk to me
makes you want to feel like a teenager
until you remember the feelings of
a real life emotion of teenager
then you think again
Yeah, move a little slower; can’t see as well; not quite as strong; certainly not as much energy; sex is, well, different; …
But would I really want to go through all that again? Not if I am honest with myself.
